Over this weekend retreat Kadam Paul will give commentary and guide mediations on this condensed Heruka practice based on Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s instructions in Modern Buddhism.
Heruka is an enlightened Deity of Highest Yoga Tantra who is the manifestation of the compassion of all the Buddhas. In particular, engaging in the practice of Heruka body mandala, according to the instructions of the Ganden Oral Lineage of Je Tsongkhapa is the supreme quick path to enlightenment. Following these precious instructions, we will practice Heruka body mandala in conjunction with the ritual prayer called ‘The Yoga of Buddha Heruka’. Although this practice is simple it is very profound. The retreat begins with an introduction on Friday evening and is open to those who have Highest Yoga Tantra Empowerment only (Heruka & Vajrayogini).
