Guided meditations to develop a peaceful mind
A step by step journey through the essential meditations of the Buddhist path to enlightenment. Based on the Lamrim, or Stages of the Path, a traditional sequential presentation of the whole of Buddhism as a series of practical contemplations and meditations. The series begins with developing a deep appreciation for our human life, and culminates with gaining a direct realization of ultimate truth.
The class will begin with a brief explanation of the meditation, some short prayers, and then the guided meditation itself.
Suitable for anyone who has some experience of Buddhist meditation. If you attend any of our other classes and you wish to develop a regular meditation practice, then this class will be very helpful. For complete beginners we would recommend Meditation & Mindfulness on Tuesday Lunchtime, Meditation Steps on Tuesday evening, or Simply Meditate on Thursday Lunchtime.
