Countryside Meditation Retreat
Enjoy a relaxing weekend of meditation and practical advice guided by Kadam Paul Jenkins.
The location is Thornby Hall, Northamptonshire – a beautiful historic house surrounded by 17 acres of enchanting grounds and gardens, a lake & woodland walks. Accommodation is in high-standard en-suite single and double rooms and all meals are included.
The course starts with supper on Friday and ends with lunch on Sunday and includes time between sessions to enjoy the café and countryside walks. Immerse yourself in meditation and completely switch off from your normal routine – you will come away refreshed and revitalised. Everybody is welcome – no need for any previous experience of meditation.
I found the away retreat at Thornby Hall a really profound experience. It was great meditating with a large group of people and I was able to ask questions and realise I was part of a group of people practicing together. The whole experience changed my practice when I came home.Rick Wilson

Teacher – Kadam Paul Jenkins
The retreat will be led by the principal Teacher at KMC Wales Kadam Paul Jenkins. A dedicated student of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Kadam Paul has been studying and teaching Kadampa Buddhism for over 30 years. He has practical experience of integrating Modern Buddhism within a busy, professional, family life and is able to share this through the clarity and warmth of his teachings.
The accommodation options at Thornby Hall include single and double en-suite, singles with shared bathroom and dormitory rooms for three people. A number of the rooms are in the recently completed stable block and some are in the main part of the building where the dining room is also situated. There is also a camper van option for those who wish to being their own sleeping quarters!

– a 25% non refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking. The balance is due one week prior to the event start date
– for cancellation from 27th March up to Friday 31st March a 50% refund is given
– for cancellation from Friday 31st March the full fee is due.
