Finding Inner Contentment
Normally we look for happiness outside our mind, spending most of our free time and energy chasing things like consumer goods, status, sex, gossip and countless other distractions. We seem to be desperate to fill up any spare moments in our lives, almost as if we were afraid of what is inside our minds. This relentless pursuit of external stimuli is exhausting and dissatisfying. Rather than give us the fulfilment we long for, it leads to disappointment and a feeling of emptiness and boredom.
In this half day meditation workshop we will learn that we already have a source of true peace and contentment within our own heart, which we can access through meditation. We can learn to give ourselves a break from our restless thoughts and desires and find joy in the simple things that come our way.
