Liberation from Sorrow, Refuge Retreat
How to find permanent protection from suffering by going for refuge to Buddha, Dharma and Sangha,
and in particular to our Holy Mother Tara.
On this retreat we will make a deep connection with Tara, our holy mother. Tara is an enlightened Deity, the embodiment of all Buddha’s compassion and wisdom. One of the most popular Buddhist Deities, Tara is swift to help with both everyday problems and with our spiritual practice. She will grant us courage when we are afraid, comfort us in our grief and sorrow, and lighten our heart when we are taking things too seriously. Loving and playful, Tara accepts us just as we are, and when we allow her into our heart we will find wherever we are we have a friend, a guide and a protector.
Through devotional chanting, mantras, visualization, and silent meditation, on this weekend retreat we will learn to invite Mother Tara into our hearts and lives.
£50 for the teachings (free for centre card holders) plus additional costs for accommodation and meals.
A booking form must be filled in to attend this course.
