Our Supreme Unchanging Friend
In a world of change and uncertainty, is there anyone we can completely rely upon? On this day course Kadam Mike will give a commentary to the Liberating Prayer, a prayer to Buddha Shakyamuni which is recited every day in Kadampa Centres. We will come to understand that because Buddha has freed his mind from all ego-grasping and distorted perceptions, and has infinite love and compassion for all living beings without exception, he is our supreme unchanging friend. By establishing a deep connection in our heart with Buddha, we find that beneath the fierce waves of our unpredictable lives, there is an ocean of peace – Buddha’s mind, which in the words of the prayer is “the source of all goodness and joy (and) refuge for all living beings”
